Academic Programs
The Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.) and Associate in Science Degree (A.S.) prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities. The A.A. and A.S. are comprised of courses offered by the Math and Science Division; the Language, Humanities, and Fine Arts Division; and the Business, IT, and Social Science Division. Students pursuing an A.A. or A.S. are encouraged to identify a major and transfer institution early in their college career and to consult the Statewide Transfer and Articulation Reporting System (STARS) Guide at http://alabamatransfers.com/ prior to registering for classes. The STARS Guide is intended to prevent loss of credit upon transfer to public four-year colleges and universities in Alabama.
